Last year, this happened.
This year, at Applefest with moiracoon and polymorphism, I heard that freaking song again! I rushed up through the throngs of people to the front counter and asked if the music playing was available for purchase. It was, so I (a little recklessly, in retrospect) bought the entire CD. The songs and track order are exactly the same as the one from the radio station, so this is the very album the church had. It's not Amy Grant, it's "On Eagle's Wings" by Steve Hall. In the church guys' defense, the track is actually a medley of a song called "We Are One In the Spirit" and "El Shaddai."
This was last week, so what have I been doing in the intervening week? I've spent a little bit of time trying to synch the two songs up so I could play them over the other and have everybody listening hear them and go, "oh,yeah; you're absolutely right!" That's not going to happen; 8-bit modulation doesn't really share the stage very well with harp and piano, and the two pieces are distinct -- at least legally, if not technically -- but at long last I have proof that I am not insane - I've cut out the primary theme of both pieces for your judgment:
Steve Hall - We Are One In The Spirit
